Norse signs partnership agreement with Daventry DC

Norse Commercial Services has completed the signing of its 16th local authority partnership, the latest seeing the formation of Daventry Norse, with nearby Daventry District Council.

 

Under the 10-year £50million agreement, Daventry Norse will take over responsibility for delivering a wide range of services from 4th June 2018, when the council’s current agreement with Enterprise/Amey ends.

 

Services will include waste and recycling collections for households and businesses, litter picking and street sweeping on public roads and paths, maintenance on roadsides and Council land of bushes, grounds and trees, maintaining play equipment, clearing fly-tipping and removing graffiti.

 

Norse Managing Director Dean Wetteland said; “We are extremely pleased to have completed the signing of this latest partnership. The agreement will strengthen local service delivery across Northamptonshire, and provide opportunities for resource sharing, economies of scale and other benefits between our two partnerships in the county.”

 

Councillor Jo Gilford, Environment Portfolio Holder at Daventry District Council: commented: “We are delighted to be entering this new venture with Norse Commercial Services, which will provide a sustainable future for our District’s environmental services, both environmentally and financially.”

 

Norse also operates a partnership agreement with nearby Wellingborough Council, providing a similar range of services.

 

With the implementation of the new agreement, Norse will be providing waste and environmental services in nine of its 16 partnerships.
