Following a high-profile litter-awareness campaign in conjunction with Keep Britain Tidy, Norse subsidiary Wellingborough Norse has pledged to support future initiatives aimed at solving the problems associated with street littering.
‘Which Side of the Fence’ highlighted how much litter is dropped on public places every day, by not cleansing a one side of a local street over a weekend period.
“The effect was very noticeable and attracted considerable local media exposure,” commented Steve Dunkley, Cleansing Manager at Wellingborough Norse.
“There was an All Party Parliamentary Group follow-up meeting at the House of Commons, which gave the opportunity to network with executives from fast food industry and other interested parties, who agreed to support our efforts in Wellingborough. It all bodes well for improving the cleanliness of streets in and around Wellingborough and we will be active in further promotions this year.”
